It has been announced that Wickes are to support this year’s Andrews Midsomer Norton and District Carnival taking place on Monday, 14th November by signing up as a Platinum Sponsor.

“We were really keen to do what we can to support Carnival, which is such an iconic community event locally”, said Lee Grainger, Branch Manager, Wickes, Paulton.

This latest sponsorship deal will not only help ensure the future of Carnival, but

represents another excellent link between local businesses and the community. Carnival represents a great opportunity for businesses to promote what they offer and this year, Ignyte Publishing have created a fantastic programme.

Meanwhile, last week’s Carnival Royalty heat in Westfield saw the crowning of this year’s latest winners. Westfield Carnival King was Lewis Fenton, aged twelve, Westfield Carnival Queen was Amber Morrish, aged seventeen, Westfield Carnival Prince was Alfie Hancock, aged seven, and Westfield Carnival Princess was Amy King, aged nine.

The next Carnival Royalty heat will be for Radstock Carnival Royalty at the

Victoria Hall this Friday, 21st October at 7 p.m. Entry to the competition to become Carnival Queen, King, Prince and Princess for Radstock for the next twelve months is free. There will be two age entry categories, 5–9 years and 10–18 years. On arrival,

entrants will be asked to complete a form (with a parent/guardian if under sixteen) and will be given a number to be called up and answer three questions relating to why they would make a good member of Carnival Royalty for Radstock. A panel of judges will select the four winners and at the end of the evening, these will be announced.
