The Bath All Starz Junior Cheerleaders traveled to Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on the 9th April for the Legacy Super Regional Cheerleading Championships.

The team raised their entry and travel fee via a Just Giving Funding Page and with the help from kind local businesses. The Waggon and Horses Pub organised a karaoke night and Sacco Martin Hair Designs hosted a coffee and cake sale. In total, £1,200 was raised and every penny went to the Junior Level 2 team to compete with Legacy Cheer.

After the success of the British Cheerleading Association’s Regional in Worcester, the team travelled to Cardiff to compete against the big teams. The Bath All Starz Cheereleaders train in Beacon Hall in Peasedown St John with limited matted space and the team can only ‘full out’ in the warm up thirty minutes before the performance. Despite the disadvantages against other teams, the Junior Level 2 squad were awarded with third place out of nine at the Super Regional. The four trophies from competing so far this year will soon be placed in the cabinet at Sevy’s in Peasdown St John.

The Bath All Starz cheerleaders, parents and the coaching team would like to thank everyone who supported the fundraiser and for giving the team the opportunity to compete at such a big event. The next competition will be the British Cheerleading Association’s Schools Championships in Guildford, where teams from Writhlington School, St Gregory’s School and Peasedown Primary will be entered.
