Toolstation League First Division side, Welton Rovers FC, are pleased to announce some major changes off the field with immediate affect. Former Player/Manager, Stuart Minall is to become Chairman, and Nick Beaverstock returns to the club for a second spell in charge of the first team.

Stuart had an illustrious playing career, including a Western League Premier Division title at Clevedon Town and an FA Vase Semi-Final with Mangotsfield United. He later was Player Manager at Paulton and Welton Rovers.

Nick Beaverstock made his Welton debut at sixteen in the mid-1980s, before going to Cirencester and Chippenham Town, where he was part of the squad that were FA Vase Finalists at the old Wembley Stadium. Since 2006, Nick has spent most of his football life at Welton Rovers as a player and then as First Team Manager, before taking a sabbatical to work overseas.

Speaking of the changes, Stuart commented: "I'm really pleased to be the new Chairman at the club. There are some fantastic club stalwarts still in situ, but I'm hoping to be announcing some great news in terms of new Director appointments in the coming weeks. The club has made a lot of progress with a strong partnership with Midsomer Norton Town Council."

The first home pre-season game is on 20th July, 3 p.m., versus Larkhall Athletic.
