COLEFORD Athletic gained a crushing 7-1 home win over third-placed High Littleton in the Premier Division of the Mid-Somerset Football League.

It enabled them to stretch their lead at the top over second-placed Frome Town United who went down to a suprise 3-1 away defeat against Evercreech Rovers who won only their second league game of the season.

Meanwhile, Timsbury Athletic Reserves are still without a point in the top division after they went down 4-1 at home to Clutton Reserves.

In the first division, Pensford won 4-1 away to Haydon Sports to move above their rivals in the table.

In Division Two, Writhington United have an eight-point lead after beating Tunley Athletic Reserves 4-1 away.
