On Friday, 28th July, Midsomer Norton Short Mat Bowls Club celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a meal at the Old Down Inn at Emborough.

32 members of the club enjoyed an excellent three-course meal, followed by a raffle and ending with a general knowledge quiz.

A vote of thanks was given to Peter Barter, co-founder and Chairman of the club, who hoped it would continue for many years to come.

New members are always welcome to the club, who meet every Tuesday and Friday afternoon between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., at the Somer Centre, Midsomer Norton. Pop in and have a go.
