The evening of Friday, 10th December saw Paulton Bowls Club host the 2021 Presentation of trophies to the winners of all competitions held during the summer.

Anna Blackwell (Competiton Secretary) and David Hancock (President) presented trophies with Anna reflecting on notable matches and the total number of games played.

Winners are too numerous to mention, but one which should be was the final between Trevor Francis and Anna, both Singles Champions, a real nail bitter with Anna sealing a win on the last end by one shot. A truly suberb game.

A complete surprise was to follow with the awarding of the Gordon HarringtonCup to Anna as Club Member of the Year.

In a more relaxed part of the evening all enjoyed an American Supper followed by a draw organised by Annabelle with mystery prizes accompanied by ‘ditties’ which contained clues to the actual prize. Quite a novelty followed by the auction of a pencil

drawing kindly donated by John Sibley. The evening ended with everyone singing carols accompanied by Trevor Francis on the organ.

A round of applause to the committee and volunteers who organised the evening.
