Christmas is over once again, and I send all our bowls friends and companions our best wishes for the New Year.

Following on from our successful year and fantastic presentation dinner, we decided to try a new venture for us, with a candlelight carol event on Saturday 21st December, where we welcomed members old, new and prospective, for music, readings and mostly melodious song, accompanied by Trevor at the keyboard.

We are truly grateful to Sue and Dave, who spent many hours turning our clubhouse into a traditional parlour for the event and to all those who gave time, props and food preparation, which helped make this a truly memorable night. Who would have thought that so much talent resides in this friendly club!

We are looking forward to the New Year, with many more interesting club evenings and I hope, another enjoyable and successful bowls season. Happy New Year, everyone.
