Paulton Rovers boss, Nick Bunyard, has wasted no time in putting plans in motion for next season's campaign. Josh Jefferies has accepted a role as First Team Player Coach.
"It is a role we have been discussing with Josh since last summer and we are delighted he has agreed to add to his responsibilities as a player by becoming First Team Coach. It's a natural progression for him at this stage and will allow him to obtain his coaching badges, whilst still maintaining an active role on the pitch.
"Josh has played Southern League football for over a decade and has a huge amount of experience that he can impart on the squad, especially the younger lads. He's a bright and intelligent lad with a good football brain, so, myself and Paul Milsom will benefit from his input," said Bunyard.
Nick Bunyard is also delighted to announce the signing of Frome Town Captain and ex-Paulton player, Dean Evans. He said: "It's a massive signing for us and he will be a key player for us next season. I've known Dean since he was seventeen and we played together at Chippenham. He is a player I've always had a huge amount of time for. He's a winner and knows what it takes to get out of this league. If you speak to the players, staff and fans at Frome, they will say he has been consistently one of their top performers for the last three years. It is a coup for us as we were competing with both Southern Premier and Conference South sides for Dean's signature. Dean is a local lad with friends in the team, so will settle quickly."
Deals have also been agreed with Captain, Dan Cleverley, and goalkeeper, Kyle Phillips, for next season. Bunyard added: "Dan and Kyle have been part of the backbone of the team for the last few seasons. We will be speaking to the remainder of the squad over the coming weeks and are in advanced discussions with several exciting new additions that we hope to confirm shortly."
