Organisers of the Frome Half Marathon are urgently appealing for volunteer marshals. This year, the Town's annual race will be held on Sunday, 19th July.
Two hundred marshals are needed, with fourteen senior marshals who will supervise.Marshals do not need to have prior experience. However, volunteers will be asked to attend a briefing before the event to understand what is required of them.
Marshalling involves showing the runners which route to follow and making sure that nothing obstructs them, such as people and traffic. There are also tasks available, such as handing out water.
There will be free tea and cake for marshals, but for those placed further out on the course, a lunch pack will be provided. If you can help, please email Fran:
