Following another very successful end-of- season tournament, raffles and a dance, the Mid-Somerset Bowls Charity raised £1,800 for their three chosen charities – Children's Hospice South West and Crohn's and Parkinson's Disease charities.
Committee members, Trevor Francis and Bryn Hawkins, travelled to Charlton Farm in Nailsea, the home of the Children's Hospice South West, one of the charities they were supporting. They were shown around the very impressive facilities there and a cheque for £600 was handed over to Tamara Downes, the Community Fundraiser.
