Chilcompton holds its first Strongman and Woman competition!

Chilcompton played host to the first Strongman/ Woman competition the village has seen recently with events taking place at MyStyle Gym.

Mr Rawlins, from Mystyle Gym, said: “This was the first competition of its size in the area and we had athletes from all over the South West, Cornwall, Plymouth, Somerset and Berkshire.”

The five categories for competitors were: Female Under- 75kg, Female Open, Men Under-90kg, Men Under-105kg and Men Open and events such as, Log press, Yoke walk, Farmers walk, Deadlift medley and Atlas Stones.

Local winners on the day were: Nicola Burroughs, first place, Under-75kg, third place, Gemma Swift Under-75kg, Kerry Shreeves, first Open, Erin Dixon, second Open and Dean Clifton, second U-105kg.
