Fielding first on a stifling hot afternoon, Killy stuck to the task very well, eventually bowling the visitors out for 202 wickets, shared between Mark Batchelar with four, Stephen Jackson with three, Alex Gardiner and Jon Parry with one each and an Ash Davis run-out completing the set.
The early loss of run machine, Stephen Jackson, for four and an unfortunate run-out of his opening partner, Luke Carter, for three early on set the Killy run chase back on its heels and they never really recovered.
Mark Batchelar, following his heroics with the ball, top-scored with 45; returning club stalwart, Darren Gould, hit twelve; fielding coach, Ashley Davis, ten; Ben Curtis, ten, and Alex Gardiner, digging in well for ten not-out – all just achieving double figures as Killy were dismissed for 115, losing by 87 runs.
This coming week’s fixture is a local derby away to Harptree Village; 2 p.m. start.
