Timsbury are through to another National Village County Final after an ultimately comfortable five-wicket win away to Shapwick and Polden, who play in the Premier Two section of the West of England Premier League. They now face a trip away to Stapleton on June 11th in the Watsons Village Cup.

Timsbury did well to restrict the home side to just 165 from their forty overs. Skipper, Steve Clothier, again emerged with the best bowling figures of 4–24, but there were also two tight spells of bowling from Tom Clark and Jon Strand. Woolway top scored for the home side with 35, who fell away after reaching 97–2.

Mark Sage then came out of the blocks in typically belligerent fashion, hitting nine fours in his innings of forty, but at 92–4, the game was still there for the taking for both sides. However, Jesse Bishop followed up his heroics of the previous day to forge a match-winning partnership of 62, with Nathan Hawkins that settled the match. Bishop hit six fours in his innings of 31, while Hawkins was there at the end with a crucial 29 not out as Timsbury won with ten overs to spare.
