Croquet is a sport that is played throughout the year at Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club, but that did not stop members celebrating the start of the 2020 season with a Social Get Together and Lunch.
Homemade casseroles, plus the trimmings – not forgetting the puddings – all made the day and afterwards, a series of devious quizzes tested the grey cells!
The club has excellent facilities – four full sized lawns and a club pavilion, some of the best in the area. Membership continues to grow and Croquet is becoming more popular. The Club also has social side, including quizzes and club lunches; not forgetting club competitions to suit all skill levels.
So, now we are into a new year, why not think of experiencing croquet for yourself. Croquet is a sport for everyone – all ages, mixed teams, all skill levels, all abilities – it’s gentle exercise and is good for your health and wellbeing.
Think Croquet, think Friends, Fun, Health, Sport, Strategy and, most importantly of all, enjoyment.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to our beginners’ course starting on 15th March from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. During the five Sunday afternoons, our accredited coaches will introduce you to the essential skills and you will soon be playing this fascinating sport. No equipment is needed – the club supplies it all. There is a cost for the five sessions which is refunded when you join the club.
Do not worry if you cannot make all the sessions – our coaches will enable you to ‘catch up’. If none of these dates are suitable for you, do not worry; just contact us and we will make arrangements for your own croquet experience.
