Overall winners were Steve Grimsted and Rob Kislingbury from Minchinhampton and the Bristol respectively with a net fifty eight.

The best Wells pairing was Warren Hamilton and John Mackness (fifty nine). The third best score of sixty two was by Glen Crocker and Nick Wilson (Wells) with sixty four points from Nick Clarke and John Wandless from Cricket St Thomas. The raffle for St Margaret’s Hospice Care raised an amazing £706.

The Men’s Avalon team had a convincing 5-0 win over Wheathill GC.

This week’s club night Twelve Hole Stableford was won by Alan Obern with twenty eight points.

Wells ladies played their qualifying round of the Ping 4BBB competition. The winners, on countback, were Erica Klim and Katrina Foote with forty one points. Wells ladies were represented at Somerset Past Captain’s two-day team event by Jill Bocquet, Janice White, Tina Davies and Sandy Heath, coming fifth out of twenty one teams. The Ladies SLCGA Grassroot Stableford is a nine hole competition and the winner is eligible to represent Wells in the Grass Roots Nine Hole competition at the County Handicap Championships.
