Farrington Seniors monthly Qualifying Stableford competition was held on Wednesday 22nd August over the Duchy Course at Farrington Golf Club. For once the weather was favourable but conditions were still damp following the torrential rain of Tuesday afternoon. The fact that the course was still fully playable was testament to the quick drying capabilities of the course, the product of the drainage work undertaken over the past years.
Winners of the Individual Nearest the Pin competitions were: Richard Curtis, Geoff Moore, Brian Weeks and Mike Hedges.
Winners of the Qualifying Stableford: Division One: First: Bill Sims 42 points, Second: Steve Symonds 39 points (countback), Third Mike Hedges 39 points.
Division Two: First, Sandy Wantanabe 35 points (countback). Second, Malcolm Clark 35 points, Third, Nigel Savage 35 points.
Division Three: First, John Holland 39 points, Second, Bill Lane 35 points (countback), Third, Kirk Bizley 35 points
