With almost 100 Senior members of Farrington Golf and Country Club attending their annual Dinner and Presentation Evening, it was guaranteed to be a fun time!
The festivities kicked off with a superb, three-course Christmas Dinner with mince pies and coffee, followed by a raffle of more than forty prizes, predominantly bottle shaped, organised by Ian Clement, Seniors' Treasurer.
A fun quiz was then followed by the presentation of trophies and engraved glassware, conducted by new Senior's Captain, Bob McKeegan-Brown, and outgoing Captain, Rob Thain. Special awards were made to Ken Hutton for organising away day and weekend venues over the last six years and an engraved decanter to Boyd Francis, who was stepping down as Fixture's Secretary after fifteen years.
Thanks go to Golf Directors, Terry Stacey and Jon Cowgill, for providing complimentary port on all tables and to the catering staff, bar staff and the 'law and order' waitresses for keeping us all fed, watered and under control!
