The Duchy Course at Farrington Golf Club has proven yet again to be an unhappy hunting ground for visiting teams. Knowle Golf Club Seniors were the latest team to play at Farrington and the outcome, a 4–3 win for the home side, ensured an unbeaten home run of an incredible fifty matches!
In a stretch going back to April 2010, some 48 games have been won and only two matches have been halved. This fine run is testament to the excellent quality of the course, but also shows the competitive spirit of the senior members. Seniors Captain, Rob Thain, commented: "To go three seasons unbeaten at home is a wonderful achievement and I would like to thank all of those involved in this exceptional run.
"Our greenkeeping staff has ensured that the course is always in tip-top condition and together with the excellent facilities at Farrington, has most definitely contributed to this achievement."
