The First Team started this Somerset Vase Quarter-Final match with a bang, scoring a point a minute in the first twenty minutes.

Jamie Gimson started his first First Team game after a long absence as if he had never been away, with a trademark chase of the kick-off, winning the ball for the home side's first piece of possession. The team racked up a good lead before half-time, with both wingers, Miller and Rideout, joining centre, Martin, on the scoreboard.

Both Miller and Martin scored near the posts, making the kick easier, but Rideout scored a typical winger's try in the corner. The side went into half-time with an unassailable lead, which allowed the Coaches to empty the bench and rest some of the players who were playing their second game.

The second half saw the side suffer from some unexplained refereeing decisions, one which gave Old Bristolians their only score of the game, a penalty try. Norton kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout the game, with further tries from T. Fear and J. Gimson. Fuller also added a brace and Taylor a drop goal, plus four conversions. Flanker, Joe Button, finished his weekend adding another try, his fourth over the two games.

Replacement, Sinden, scored the side's ninth and final try when he danced his way through the defence to score under the posts. Rideout converted this to add a second conversion to his tally.
