A solid, second-round win from Paulton Rovers sees them advance to the next stage of the Stan Milsom K-O Cup.
Paulton started the game strongly, attacking straight at London Road. With the pressure that Rovers were putting on the visitors, they managed to get a free kick within the opening five minutes of the game. Rhys Cook converted, with a good strike from about twenty yards to put the home team 1-0 up.
The pressure on the visitors continued, and Cook grabbed a second goal on 25 minutes, with an assist by Nick Johnson.
The visitors kicked off the second half, and on the hour managed to score, making it 2-1. They kept the pressure on Rovers, who managed to deal with all that was thrown at them.
In the last five minutes of the game, Cook completed a great hat-trick, and Ash Boucher scored less than a minute later with his first goal in nine months, after a nasty knee injury.
A good win for Paulton, who roll on to the next round of the Stan Milsom K-O Cup.
