HIGH Littleton got off to a splendid start against Clutton Reserves, winning 3-1 at home on the opening day of the season in the Premier Division of the Mid-Somerset Football League.
There were 7-1 home wins for Frome Town United and Wells City A - over Westfield Reserves and Timsbury Athletic Reserves respectively.
And in Division 1 the two newly promoted teams, Odd Down Development and Meadow Rangers, shared a 3-3 draw. In Division 2, new boys Writhlington United beat Westfield Development 8-0 at home while all other teams shared the points with Farrington Gurney drawing 1-1 with newly formed Tunley Reserves.
