Welton Rovers FC played host to the Les Philips Cup Final last Saturday, which saw Willand Rovers take on Hengrove Athletic, with Hengrove lifting the prestigious Cup, beating Willand Rovers 2–1. Local photographer, John Newport, had the honour of videoing the match for the Toolstation Western League, with Somer Valley FM’s Ian Nockolds and Welton Rovers’ Bob Allard commentating on the match.
