Local photographer, John Newport, particularly known for his loyal coverage of Radstock Town Football Club, come rain or shine, recently had an opportunity that he will never forget.
Courtesy of Radstock Town’s Under-18s Manager, Ian Lanning, John was invited pitchside to cover the match against rivals, Swindon Town on Saturday, 9th February. Ian Lanning is also Kit Manager at Milton Keynes Dons Football Club, (known as MK Dons).
Whilst the side lost 3–2 to Swindon Town, John was there to capture every moment. The local photographer (pictured right), sent The Journal the results of his afternoon’s work. He told us: “I had a day that I will never forget. I could quite get into this photo journalism!”
