In the Premier League, last year’s champions, Frome Collegians, were held to a 1-1 draw away to Pilton, with Theo Sing giving the visitors the lead in the first half. Mid-way through the second half, the hosts equalised through Will Reilly.
Peasedown Albion made it two-out-of-two wins, putting six past Westhill Sports at home. The scorers were Dan Hucker (2), Aaron Vine, Stu Seviour, Rico Sobers and Craig Dowling, with Ben Grubb getting a consolation goal for the visitors.
Coleford entertained Victoria Street at home, getting over the line 2-1. The scorers were Mac Fisher and Jack Davis. Bath Villa bounced back, after being unable to field a team last week, to beating Radstock A, 3-1. Scoring for them were Andy Marks (2) and Ryan Rudland. Westfield Res at home put in a good performance on beating Purnell Sports 5-1. Getting the goals were Tom Lakeman (2), Ollie Jones and Sam Millard.
The First Division saw Chilcompton Res suffer a 2-3 loss at home to Wells City A. The home scorers were Robinson and Ingham. Peasedown Albion Res thrashed Clutton away, 5-1. Netting were Davidson (2), Buck, Cox and Campbell.
Evercreech went to town at home against Meadow Rangers, scoring thirteen without reply. Hitting the net were Stuart Vaughan (4), James Banwell (4), Lee Marshman (2), Charlie Giles, Gordon Wakefield and Gary Livermore. Meanwhile, High Littleton had a very good away win to Somer Valley, 3-0, and Timsbury Res lost at home, 1-2, to Chew Magna Res.
In the Second Divsion, Belrose won at home, 5-4, against Weston Bath, and Stoke went away to Glastonbury Res and won 2-0 – the scorers being Alex Gregory and Ben Hansford. Timsbury A lost at home to Farrington Gurney, 4-5, Westhill Sports Res won at home against Saltford Res, 6-1, and Wessex had an impressive win at home, beating Coleford Res 6-0. Getting the goals were Lee Gooding (4), Dan Linham and Dan Grovier.
In the Third Division, Chilcompton A probably fielded the youngest fourteen players in the League’s history – all of them being seventeen-and-under. They put on a great team performance in an entertaining home game against Evercreech Res, and won 4-2 – the lively Jake Curtis scoring all four goals.
Chilcompton United played out a 4-4 draw at home against Pilton Res, Frome Collegians at home scored sixteen against Charlton United (the visitors must be congratulated, playing the game with only nine players) and Westfield A beat Peasedown Albion A 6-3.
