Holders, Frome Collegians, progressed to the Quarter-Finals of the Somerset Junior Cup, where they will play Freshford at home.
Frome beat Redgate 4-0, thanks to a terrific penalty save by Joe Smart when the score was 1-0, and goals from Skimpman, Handford, Lar and Schlesinger.
In the Somerset Intermediate Cup, Mendip Rangers had a very good win away to Chilcompton Res, 5-0. Amongst the goals was a hat-trick by Jack Clift, and Adam Rahn and Chris Greenman also scored. High Littleton won a hard-fought battle at home against Evercreech, 4-3. Getting the goals was a hat-trick by Luke Tucker, and one from Chris Bridges.
Peasedown Albion Res won away to Nether Stowey, 5-1, where the scorers were Lee Denner, Harrison Nash, Jordon and Olly Davidson. Belrose won away on penalties to Perry Street; Saltford Res beat Combe St Nicholas at home, 2-0; Farrington lost at home to Queen Camel, 5-0; and Frome Collegians Res lost at home, 3-2, to Whitchurch.
Coleford at home moved up the League, after inflicting Bath Villa with their first defeat in the League this season, 2-1. Charlie Walton’s own-goal gave the visitors the lead, and Jack Davis levelled the score, which was how it remained until a dramatic finale, where Villa hit the post, before their goalkeeper handled the ball outside his area. Dan Reynolds then smashed home an unstoppable shot from the resulting free-kick.
Pilton stay top after a good 3-0 win away to Westfield Res, the visitors’ goals coming from Luke Woodall, George Coney and Liam White. Victoria secured their second win of the season, home to Radstock A, 2-1, and Purnell Sports won away, 2-1, at Westhill Sports.
In the First Divsion, Chew Magna stay top of the League after going away to Clutton Res and winning 2-0. Timsbury Res beat Meadow Rangers, 4-1 – getting the goals for the home team, the ever-green Clive Curtis, Mark Hancock, Midgley and Reynolds.
In the Third Division, Chilcompton United got their second three points of the season by beating Evercreech Res away, 2-0. Pilton Res go top-of-the-League, winning at home, 7-4, against Westfield A. Hitting the net for the home team was a hat-trick by Jack Withers, two from Dean Loxton, and one each from Ben Scott and Toby Collins. For the visitors, a hat-trick from Harry Smith and one from Chris Spurrey.
Peasedown Albion A are second in the League, on the same number of points with the leaders, after beating Old Reds Bath, 5-0. Scoring their goals were Mark Gould, Jack Newman, Rico Sobers and Chris Preston with a brace.
