Radstock Town Football Club Chairman, Simon Wilkinson, has smashed his fundraising target for Breast Cancer Now. The Miners’ stalwart pledged to raise £150 by cycling 100 miles over five days, but that target has been eclipsed by the £638 raised to date.
Simon Wilkinson, a popular and well-respected figure in the non-league football scene decided to take part in Ride Now 2021, a fundraising initiative for Breast Cancer Now, as part of the Mendip Motivators team put together by employees at Western Power’s Radstock Road depot.
Simon said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has donated to this important cause, not just for me, but the other members of our team at Western Power.
“I’m also grateful for the support of John Newport who’s kept me company on most of my rides.”
The Mendip Motivators have raised over £1,500 for Breast Cancer Now, cycling a combined 1,547.3 kilometers.
