Paulton Rovers U18’s 7 Winscombe 2

A dominant performance from Paulton’s youngsters who should of won by double figures.

After only three minutes Paulton were awarded a penalty after Carter Bailey was tripped in the area. Taken by Schwalbe-Goodwin it was superbly saved low by Winscombe’s Mitch Moreton.

Rovers went ahead after 8 minutes as Josh Cload cut in from the left to find Schwalbe-Goodwin.

They went further ahead in the 17th minute as Bailey played in Ladyshiskyi to slot the ball past keeper Moreton.

In a rare breakaway on 34-minutes Isaac Hale scored completely against the run of play.

Rovers' fears were allayed as they made it 3-1 two minutes later. Will Ford, who completely ran the midfield, threaded the ball through to Ladyshenskyi who ran to fire home.

Ladyshenskyi was on the scoresheet in the 39th minute as Cload crossed, for the young Ukrainian to hammer the ball past Moreton.

On the resumption Bailey hit the post and Moreton pulled off a fine save from Schwalbe-Goodwin. Bailey made it five on 63 minutes.

Ford found Ladyshenskyi on the left on 74-minutes he rounded his marker to volley past Moreton to record his hat-trick.

The hosts bounced back and with four minutes left Harrison Rogers broke down the right and scored with a firm shot to make it 7-2.
