HIGHWORTH TOWN 2 v 1 PAULTON ROVERS

Paulton were hugely disappointed not to get a deserved point.

The host had the first chance in four minutes as Matt Cheetham’s fierce shot was turned for corner by Rovers keeper, Aaron Sainsbury.

Ryan Gay opened the scoring in twelve minutes, getting on the end of a Nuno Felix cross and hitting a firm shot into the roof of the net.

Two minutes later, it was levelled as Ashley Edenborough set up Joe Selman who hit a firm shot past Sainsbury.

The second half opened with Sainsbury turning away a half volley by Jordan Murray as Paulton responded as Felix’s free-kick was headed wide by Braeden Symes and Hailston’s drive was held by Highworth keeper, Connor Johns.

With two minutes to go, Rob Dean rose above everyone to firmly head home from a corner taken on the right by corner Matt Grabe to give the hosts the three points.
