KEYNSHAM U18s 0 PAULTON ROVERS U18s 3

It was wet and lashing with rain as the under-18s game started at the all-weather pitch at Keynsham Town FC.

Paulton started quickly and took control of the game early on. The first opportunity of the match came to Ali Sen, who found space on the edge of the box to shoot and found the bottom-left corner of the goal to take the visitors into the lead.

With only five minutes played, Blaine Lawrence doubled the lead, finishing well from a tight angle after being played through by Mason Harrison.

Rovers continued to dominate the first half, playing some excellent possession football. However, they could not find a way through the compact Keynsham defence to increase the lead.

The home side came out fighting after the break, and were unlucky to see the ball bounce off the post and back into play early on in the second half.

With Keynsham looking to break quickly, gaps started to appear in the Paulton defence, and the home side had opportunities to get back into the game throughout the second half, but failed to properly test the Paulton keeper.

In the dying moments of the game, as Paulton looked to run the clock down, Ali Sen once again found himself with space just outside the area and fired the ball into the back of the net to seal the victory for the visitors.
