Cirencester Town 4 Paulton Rovers 3
A dramatic second half recovery saw Cirencester take the points after Rovers led 3-1 at half time in a pulsating game on the 3G pitch.
Paulton went ahead in the first minute as Ed Butcher raced on to George Fowler’s through ball to hit a low shot past Alex
Harris’s near post.
Rovers kept up the pressure and added a second on 24 minutes as Fowler rob his marker and threaded through for Leighton Thomas to drive home.
A defensive mix up four minutes later as Josh Grace Parsons reduced the deficit.
Paulton made it 3-1 on half time as Butcher was fouled by ex Rovers full back Shayne Anson and Thomas calmly stroked home the spot kick.
On the restart Ciren scored as Anson’s cross was headed goal wards by Harry Williams and Grace Parsons turned home.
With Paulton struggling to drive forward the hosts levelled on 58 minutes as Tom Anderson’s corner on the right was headed home by captain Jake Lee and two minutes later they went ahead from another Anderson corner Levi Irving headed home.
Butcher had a good chance saved by Harris whilst Grace Parsons could have made his hat trick missing the target.
