Before the Westfield Reserves versus Mells game, Martin Veater was presented with the Mark Box Trophy for having the highest aggregate points from marks awarded to referees by the clubs during the 2016/2107 season.

Mark Box’s wife, Sara, presented the award, with Martin also the best referee at Level 5.

Last Saturday, Evercreech made another final by defeating Peasedown Albion Reserves, 3–1 in the Moorland Cup; they will play either Wessex or Coleford Reserves.

In the Premier Division, Frome Collegians continue their winning ways, beating Purnell Sports Reserves away, 5–0, to stay at the top of the league. Radstock A, with a good away win at Westhill Sports, 2–1, move into second place. Coleford, with games in hand, won away at Wells City A, 6–0 and Westfield Reserves and Temple Cloud played out a 0–0 draw.

Pilton consolidated their position at the top of the First Division, beating bottom team, Belrose, at home 4–0. Peasedown Albion, with games in hand on the leaders, just managed to overcome a spirited Chew Magna Reserves side, 2–1 at home, to move into second place; and Chilcompton Reserves had a good win at home against Clutton, 3–1.

Only one game in Division Two saw the bottom two teams, Coleford Reserves at home playing Saltford Reserves – the home team coming out on top, 4–0.

In Division Three, Stoke stay top by one point from Weston Bath by beating Purnell Sports A away, 5–1. Weston, keeping their unbeaten league record intake, fell over the line at home against bottom team, Pilton Reserves 2–1 and Timsbury A move up to third place with a great win against Westfield A, 2–0 at home.
