MID-SOMERSET LEAGUE DIMMOCK GREEN KO CUP FINAL - COLEFORD ATHLETIC 1 HIGH LITTLETON 0 AET

Thanks to a stunning 118th minute free kick from Dan Reynolds, Coleford Athletic emerged victorious from last Friday evening’s Dimmock Green Knock Out Cup Final versus High Littleton.

It was the only goal of the first Mid-Somerset League final of the season, and was played at Radstock Town FC, where the excellent hospitality was appreciated by all.

First Division High Littleton were exceptionally well organised, largely in part due to a Man of the Match performance from Jon Filer, as Premier Division Champions, Coleford, were kept at distance from the High Littleton custodian.

The first real save of merit came in the 85th minute, when Jason Williams tipped over a goal-bound Coleford effort. With the match seeming certain to be decided by penalties, up stepped Dan Reynolds to win the game for Coleford.

John Hansford
