Paulton Rovers withstood sustained second half pressure with a great display from their keeper, Andy Hannah.

Winchester had several chances, with Pat Cox heading wide then shooting into the side netting. James Byrne played in Kailan Gould, only to curl wide. From a corner, Rob Flooks headed into Hannah’s hands.

Jack Ball and Gould combined and Ball’s header was saved by ‘The Citizen’s’ keeper, Ryan Pryce, on the line.

Byrne then had a shot superbly tipped over by Pryce. Rovers’ goal came on forty minutes from a right wing corner by Captain, Dale Evans, which was headed home by Joe Chandler.

Rovers had another header from Ball saved by Pryce and then Winchester had several early second half chances as Cox twice tested Hannah.

Hannah was kept busy as the visitors pressed and sixteen-year-old substitute, Ik Hill, looked a player of great promise on the right.

Hannah blocked shots from Cox, Mlamba and Joe Haywood. Then, in time added on, the visitors had a goal ruled out for offside.

A first run out for both sides saw the youngsters take an early lead from Conor Ford before Reece Cook replied to level.

Anthony Ford made it 2–1 to the Bath Sunday Premier league outfit before Jed Parfitt equalised for the U18s.

Parfitt made it 3–2 on the restart, before Cook levelled, then Justin Dowling put the Sunday lads ahead and Ford made it 5–3 with a wicked deflection.

Substitute, Sam Metcalf, crossed for Parfitt to head goalward as Charlie Phillips was the busier keeper.

Monty Burgess and then Metcalf both had shots which tested Phillips.

The ‘oldies’ added a sixth as Ford crossed for Dowling to give a final score of 6–3.
