It was the first round of the Paulton Hospital Cup last Saturday, and the holders, Peasedown Albion, were home to Somer Valley, plaing at Camerton Rec as the ground is being levelled at Peasedown.

Somer Valley quickly got into their stride, scoring two goals in the first four minutes. Peasedown pulled one back quickly but fell behind again – the score after just nine minutes was 3-1 to the visitors.

Peasdown pressed from the start in the second half, making it 3-2, but after some poor defending, Somer Valley restored their two-goal advantage.

After some rearranging of the home team, they were awarded a penalty for a push, which was cooley put away by Dan Hucker.

The visitors held on to put out the cup holders 4-3.
