TIMSBURY Athletic celebrated another impressive  season when it held its annual Presentation Night.

The first team finished a highly creditable fourth in the Somerset County League Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the League Cup. Timsbury Reserves finished runners-up in the  Mid-Somerset League Premier Division and reached the final of the Paulton Hospital Cup.

It proved to be a good night for the Sobers brothers. Rico won the Players’ Player award while Pele in his first season at the club collected the Roy Lockyer Trophy after being voted the Supporters’ Player of the Year.

The trophy awarded  to the leading scorer in memory of Alan Thomas this year went to Ellis Hancock. Alan’s daughter Nicky Brice was again in attendance to make the  award.

Rio Bryant  was young player of the year and collected a new trophy in memory of the late President Chris Fear from Chris’ daughter Jenny. Dom Barresi was the Manager’s Player of the Year . Janet Sage was a popular recipient of the James Adams Memorial Trophy as Clubperson of the Year. 

The Reserve team just missed out on their second successive championship but it proved to be another enjoyable year for them. Mark Andrade was voted Players’ Player of the Year. The Manager’s Player of the Year was Cain Murphy.
