Timsbury Athletic Football Club has had the worst start to the year after discovering that three of its pitches had been wrecked over the New Year period.
The senior pitch, standard pitch and the cricket square have all been damaged by deep tyre tracks and a set of goal posts were also run over.
With the wet weather, the damage cannot yet be properly assessed and repaired, leaving the teams to play elsewhere. Timsbury Athletic’s First Team have already had to do this and the club are unsure as yet how much the repairs will cost.
