Awards were given at the end of the season for achievements and commitment at Tunley Athletic Football Club’s presentation evening on Friday, 11th May.

A wonderful meal at the King William, Tunley, was followed by the presentation of trophies. Gareth Roberts received Clubman, Kevin and Melita Horler the Chairman’s Award, Matt Harvey the Sportsman, Most Improved Player was Harry Newell, Top Goal Scorer was Joe Sardo, Referees’ Award was Paul Blenkinsopp, the Manager’s Player went to captain Adam Sardo and Players’ Player for the second year was Ryan Edmunds.

President, Derek Nutt, thanked all for their commitment to the small village club, Tom and Jess Watson of the King William for their support and hospitality, and Pete Fear of Fear & Co. for their continuing sponsorship.

Although a disappointing season, the players continued to be committed and have great camaraderie. Tunley continues to play in the Somerset County League newly-formed Division Three for another season.
