AFC TOTTON 1 PAULTON ROVERS 1

Early pressure from Marcus Day and Dave Sims-Burgess saw Ben Withey’s cross headed over by Rovers’ Skipper, Charlie Hitchings.

The Stags’ left winger, Liam Callaghan, was threatening with his crosses and from his pass to Craig Feeney, his cross was headed clear by Paulton defender, Craig Allan.

Totton’s sixteen-year-old keeper, Matt Hall, held onto a volley by Dave O’Hare, then a drive from Hitchings.

Rovers’ stopper, Aaron Sainsbury, tipped over from Patrick Nolan as he nearly capitalised on a mix-up.

The final act of the half saw Brad Abraham find Bament, only for his shot to be deflected into Hall’s hands.

Callum Chugg started the second period blasting over for the hosts, with Charlie Ten Grotenhuis repeating the effort for Rovers.

Sainsbury was alert to save from Feeney, but he was beaten on 64 minutes as Feeney was the first to a loose ball which found Callaghan, who superbly thundered a left-footed shot giving Sainsbury no chance.

Bament then hit a shot wide and two minutes later, a long ball found Feeney, who, one-on-one with Sainsbury, saw Rovers’ custodian save with his feet.

Rovers levelled on 76 minutes, as Abraham laid the ball wide to Withey, his pass saw substitute, Braeden Symes, bring a save from Hall, with Bament following up to drive into the net.

Totton substitute, Adam McWilliams, had his shot blocked by Allan and with the final effort, Feeney missed the target.

Tuesday’s Man of the Match went to Brad Abraham from Paulton Rovers.
