WELTON Rovers’ hopes of moving off the bottom of the first division in the Jewson Western Football League were dashed when they lost 2-1 at home to Odd Down in mid-week.
All three goals came in the second-half as Odd Down chalked up only their third victory of the season.
There was no joy either for Radstock Town who lost 3-1 at home to Devizes Town who maintained their unbeaten start to the season and their position at the top of the table. Second-placed Bitton won 2-0 away to Avonmouth while Sturminster Newton made it a good day for the top sides with a 5-2 home win over Wells City.
