Fosseway Golf Club has had a great deal to celebrate over the last few weeks. They won the Wessex League, despite losing 3–2 at Westbury. In the final of the Seven Man Singles, which was played at Westbury, they recorded a 5–2 victory and in the same match, Dave Josham had a hole in one.
Captain John Fuller, in his first year of captaincy, has marshalled his team well throughout the season and was very pleased with the way the team has played. He would like to thank everyone who contributed and pointed out it is very much a team game, with some people having worked a night shift on a Friday or Saturday morning, but still made themselves available to play and were a credit to the club. Dave Josham's hole in one came on the par three thirteenth, 174 yards at Westbury using a six iron, (not such an unlucky thirteen then, Dave!).
Results: Lost 3–2 to Westbury, away, but there were wins for Gary Wilcox and Mike Emery 3&2, Roger Parfitt and Dave Josham 7&5 with Rob Emery and John Fuller losing 4&2.
Shaun Goodwin and Kevin Gill lost 4&3, Ben Josham and Andy Flagg losing 3&2.
In the Seven Man singles, there were wins for G. Wilcox, M. Emery, J. Fuller, D. Josham and M.J. Emery, with S. Goodwin and B. Josham both losing.

The club was also represented by a team in the County Categories at Tall Pines, where young Ben Josham finished in third place with a gross 78, net 70, (only two shots behind the winner).
