In their Centenary Year, Tunley Athletic FC challenge Westfield FC in the Freda Hookings MBE Memorial Trophy match at Tunley Recreation Field this Saturday, 4th August with the kick-off at 3 p.m.
This is the eighth time that Tunley have played against a local club following the death of Freda Hookings, President for over forty years of Tunley Athletic Football Club and first female Vice-President of the Somerset FA. The trophy was given in her memory by her family, to be played for by Tunley against local football clubs in a pre-season match. Freda was awarded the MBE in the Millennium New Year's Honours List for services to Tunley Athletic FC.
A BBQ will take place after the game with a bar and refreshments at the ground. This is organised by Freda's family and members of the club.
