There was a close finish to the Turkey Trot event in the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club, but in the end, Treasurer Geoff Hallett and Vice-captain Martyn Cuer prevailed with a nett score of 53.

One shot behind were Terry Button and his partner Phil Moody and Alan Jones with Jack Curtis with the former claiming second place on countback.

The weather was much kinder for the November medal than it had been a month earlier, and captain Gerry Rowell took full advantage with an excellent winning nett score of 59, his third medal success of 2017.

Malcolm Tucker finished second five shots behind with the in-form Cuer third with a nett 66.
