Heavy rainfall in the last ten days has ensured the greenkeeping staff have been kept busy with course maintenance and general winter preparation. A few days of sunshine would not go amiss, just to get our own lawns cut!
Sadly, Farrington Park narrowly lost out to Wells in the Final of the Somerset Bowl, 3-2, at a very wet Mendip Golf Course.
The four-ball better ball competition was won by Paul Cains and Steve Mitchell with 43 points, followed by Tony Clement and Eric Nott in second (40), Steve Hobbs and Leo Seddon in third (40) and Lawrence Barlow and Andy Snook in fourth (39).
