On a cold, miserable and foggy Wednesday morning seventy two Senior golfers set off in pursuit of the fairways at Farrington Park.

Conditions were not good, with the fog showing no regular pattern, first lifting then settling and lifting once again.

The only uplifting highlight was England’s World Cup progression into the last sixteen, beating Wales following a poor performance against the USA. Is it coming home? Watch this space!

First: Steve Gay/Alan Skivington/Mike Rogers with ninety-seven points, second: Andy Smart/Steve Hobbs/Alan Howe with ninety-six points.
Third: Phil Thompson/Barry Hall/Laurence Barlow with 90 points and fourth: Dave Harvey/Geoff Clare/Geoff Cabral with eighty-nine.
