Fosseway turned in an impressive win against the team from Farrington Park as they progress in the Somerset Golf Union Rose Bowl Competition. The conditions at Bath Golf Club, Sham Castle, were difficult, with high winds affecting play in exposed areas of the course.
Fosseway Captain, Kev Gill, was pleased with his selected team pairings – A. Stead and R. Parfitt, K. Gill and P. Moody, D. Josham and A. Flagg, J. Fuller and P. Rose, B. Josham and G. Wilcox. The team started the day with a full English breakfast, which put them in good stead for the day, with good scoring in all Foursomes matches resulting in a 4–1 win to Fosseway. The next round will be competing against either Enmore or Orchardleigh, to be played before 5th June.
The Fosseway Captain’s Away Day is booked for Isle of Wedmore on 30th April. Full details on club noticeboard.
