For many years, Mendip carried out Greens Maintenance work twice a year which led to the greens being fairly bumpy for a few weeks thereafter.

However, over the past three years, Mendip has adopted a ‘little but often’ style of maintenance resulting in the Greens now running as well as they have for a very long time and more importantly, are back in tip top condition within days of the work being carried out. A fine tribute to Head Green Keeper, Richard Gregory and his team.

Your Press Reporter has been a Mendip Member for 34 years and during that time, cannot remember there being more than one Junior Girl at any one time and even then not very often. Since Stuart Disney joined the Club as Professional in 2017, Mendip has seen a resurgence in its Junior Golf and particularly is now seeing an unprecedented number of junior girls.
