Over ninety members attended the Wells Golf Club AGM, held in the clubhouse.

The Board ‘tee’d’ off the proceedings, outlining the works undertaken around the course and clubhouse in 2017, and then set out their plans for 2018, which included various initiatives to increase and retain membership.

The second half of the evening was ‘driven’ by the Captains summarising their year, and awarding Cups and Awards to the various club competition winners, culminating in both the Club Champions, Alan Todd and Glynis Slater, picking up their awards for the second year in succession.

Stuart Mann congratulated Colin Mantle on becoming Club Captain for 2018, the year of the club’s 125th anniversary.

Everyone then celebrated the year by enjoying the excellent buffet.

The Ladies’ Section AGM saw Cath Levell become their Captain. She congratulated Tina Davies on a wonderful year, and thanked Kathy Lane on becoming Vice-Captain.
