The Annual Ladies versus Men match was played in high spirits, with the Ladies fighting all the way to regain the Hobby Horse.
Glynis Slater and Sue Wells won, Tina Davies and Kim Lord gained a half against Club Captain, Stuart Mann and Geoff Dyer. Erica Klim and Phyl Lewison almost halved but Senior Captain, Glyn Hallett, sunk a lucky 30ft putt. Cath Levell and Sue Hockey, along with Jen Jones and Gill Magrath put up a good fight, but the men were too strong. The result was a win for the men.
Tina Davies, Ladies’ Captain, led her away day at Yeovil with lovely sunshine all day. Eight teams took part in the Waltzing Matilda Bowmaker. Winners of the competition were Erica Klim, Phyl Lewison and Julie Blunden showing their skills, particularly on the putting greens. In second place were Jen Jones, Linda Wright and Barbara Harris, followed by Polly Williams, Gill Magrath, Margaret
Sellar in third place on countback. Nearest the Pin Bronze prize went to Linda Wright, and the Silver Nearest the Pin player was Sue Wells.
