There was a great turnout by Somer A.C. for the flagship Virgin London Marathon last Sunday. Ten runners competed in the 26.2 miles around our nation's capital, in very warm conditions.
Matt Exley was first home for the club, with a time of 3:20.54, followed by Martin Stapleton, 3:29.00, Victoria Plumber, 3:34.11, Trudie Gardiner, 3:45.47, Adrian Holborn, 3:49.16, Andy Courtney, 4:01.53, Judith Chubb-Whittle, 4:07.45, Tracey Holborn, 4:09.22 and Richard Maddock, 4:10.50.
The club's Tony Gambicchia also competed in the Frenchay 10k and finished in a time of 46.19.
