THE Ladies section of Orchardleigh Golf Club have held their annual Christmas lunch and Trophy Presentation.

Retiring Lady Captain Susan Marshall had invited Richard Asprey, chairman of the Frome branch of the Royal British Legion, as guest of honour, and he talked about the work of the RBL and the Poppy Appeal.

He thanked the ladies' section for their generosity in raising £1285.03 for the Poppy Appeal and presented Susan with a certificate from the RBL, to mark their gratitude.

Before and during the meal, Susan handed out sheets of Christmas themed dingbat word quizzes to exercise the brain.

Susan and Lin Handley presented the trophy winners for 2025. Susan was the recipient of many of these trophies!
